Great Ideas for Entertainment at Home!

With schools closed and many retail shops and restaurants going to online and curb-side only, finding new things to do every week can be hard. Arrowhead Title has been a fixture at the Lake for many years, so we know the area and we have some great ideas to help keep our community entertained during this time. We love each and every one of you and we're excited to help. Keep reading to learn our favorite social distancing activities, both indoor and outdoor!


Try a New Cuisine


It's easy to get stuck in a rut of cooking the same meals and dishes on repeat, especially when you are busy and don't have time to be as creative as you want to be. Use this extra time to choose a new cuisine you've never tried before! Try making a Thai curry dish, or even roll your own sushi at home. There are also several restaurants still offering takeout with curb-side pickup. Having trouble choosing? Make a game of it... Assign each restaurant its own side on a die and roll to choose where you'll order dinner tonight!

Design a Home Theater


You may not be able to visit the movie theaters, but you can design your own at home! Use couch cushions, pillows, sheets, and blankets to create a cozy fort in the living room. Choose a favorite movie, pop some popcorn, and cuddle up for a great movie night with the whole family.

Design an Obstacle Course


If you have little ones in the house, designing an obstacle course can be the perfect distraction and a good way to drain their energy. Use painter's tape to direct your little athlete along the path you've designed using chairs, couches, paper plates, and anything else you can think of that would make a great obstacle. 



Enjoy Nature


There are several areas around the Lake of the Ozarks that are perfect for an excursion out of the house to get some fresh air. Getting a little sunshine can be important during this time, and hiking is the perfect way to get some exercise while also getting some vitamin D from sunshine. Most hiking trails are not overly populated either, and allow people to pass while maintaining a good amount of distance between one another. 

 Ha Ha Tonka is an example of a beautiful outdoor place to visit and boasts 12 hiking trails that you and the family can explore during your day out of the house. The Lake of the Ozarks State Park also has several areas where you can hike, have a picnic, or even kayak all while keeping your family safe from crowds.
