Free Things To Do At The Lake

Father's Day Weekend is here! This Sunday will be a day set aside to specifically acknowledge the father figures in our lives and let them know how much we truly appreciate them and all they have done for us. Every family decides to celebrate in their own way, so it's up to you to decide how you want to make this a special day for Dad.

Celebrating Father's Day certainly does not have to break the bank! If you're looking to save a few dollars this weekend, the team at Arrowhead Title is here to help. Here is a quick list of some of our favorite free activities around the Lake Area.

It's what the Lake is known for! If you have a boat (or plans to rent boat this weekend), you're going to have a wonderful time. Be careful while you're out on the water - remember to have a designated captain and always wear your life jackets! If you don't have your own dock, you can let your boat into the water at any of these public access points:
  • Bagnell Dam Access Boat Ramp (in Lake Ozark)
  • Coffman Beach Access Boat Ramp (in Rocky Mount)
  • Gravois Mills Access Boat Ramp (in Gravois Mills)
  • Lake of the Ozarks State Park Boat Ramps (in Kaiser)
  • Wigham School Access Boat Ramp (in Stover)
  • Gale Access Boat Ramp (in Roach)

Ha Ha Tonka
Does your dad love the opportunity get outdoors and stretch his legs? The Lake of the Ozarks may be famous for boating, but it is also home to some absolutely beautiful hiking trails. You can find lots of great trails at both of the following locations:
  • Ha Ha Tonka State Park
  • Lake Of The Ozarks State Park
  • Thunder Mountain Conservation Area

Boating and hiking are great fun, but let's not forget about the fantastic sightseeing opportunities waiting for you at the Lake. The Lake of the Ozarks has a rich history that has fascinated both tourists and locals alike for many, many years. Bring Dad to learn more about our unique area at any of these free museums:
  •  National Mother's Shrine (in Laurie)
  • Willmore Lodge Museum (in Lake Ozark)
  • Camden County Museum (in Linn Creek)
  • Miller County Museum (in Tuscumbia)

On behalf of all of us at our Lake of the Ozarks title company, we hope you and your family have a truly wonderful Father's Day Weekend together. If you have such a great time at the Lake that you start thinking about buying a home at the Lake of the Ozarks, please keep us in mind for all of your title insurance needs!
