Fun Ideas for Easter at Home!
Now is a confusing time for all of us, and it can be hard to focus on the little things when we are carrying big worries with us. With Easter just a couple of days away, now is the perfect time to step away from the news and refocus on our families and having spending time together. Arrowhead Title cares about our community and each one of you! So today we are covering some creative ideas on how you can make the most of Easter while staying at home. Read on to find inspiration for your Easter celebration this year!
Decorate Eggs without Dye
The tradition of dyeing Easter eggs may not be possible for you this year. The stores may be out of dye or you may not be able to get out this year to get all of the necessary supplies. Instead of getting caught up in the details, try decorating eggs with other materials you have around the house. Use markers, crayons, washi tape, or colorful paper and mod podge.
Bake and Decorate Cookies
Is there anything more fun as a child than mixing together cookie dough, sneaking a bit off the spoon, and decorating your very own cookie? Shape your sugar cookies to look like Easter eggs and spend the day decorating them with sprinkles, frosting, chocolate chips, coconut flakes, and anything else you and the kids love to enjoy with your cookies.
Hide Candy or Coloring Pictures
If you can't find eggs anywhere to spare for decorating and hiding, then get creative with your Easter "Egg" Hunt and choose other fun things to hide around the yard or in the house. Make little bags of candy and tie them up with ribbon for the kiddos to search for on Easter. You can also make or print coloring pictures that you can gently tape in hiding spots throughout the house for your kids to find and then color or paint!
Have Easter Dinner Online
We are all missing our friends and family during this time, and that feeling can be even stranger over holidays when we're used to seeing each other. Make a plan to "get together" online! Try using Zoom, Skype, Facebook, or another video chat service to connect with one another on Easter. Connect for a quick chat to check-in on each other, or plan to make your dinners at the same time and enjoy a meal as if you were all together!
Make the Most of It
Even though we may not be able to do or experience the things we normally would, we can still make the most of what we have and can do to celebrate. If Easter is an important holiday to you, you can still have a wonderful weekend connecting with family, decorating Easter-themed items, having a hunt around the yard or house, and possibly tuning in to your local church's Easter service. No matter what is going on, it's important to stay connected and be creative with ways to engage and be active.
